My daughter and I skied at Loon on Thursday 9-Feb-2012. We could not believe the fantastic conditions of the trails. We were expecting to deal with more than a bit of ice. Not the case at all early in the day - Flying Fox, Upper and lower Walking Boss, and Angel street were our favorites in the morning.

Overall the whole mountain was in fantastic shape - one would never guess that there was a lack of snow this year. We were especially impressed with Cruser around noon time. We were both starving, and planned to stop for lunch after one run.... Three runs later, we finally took a break - just great snow conditions on that trail.

Thank you for all of your hard work, This was my sixth visit to Loon this year, and I continue to be impressed by the conditions of the trails this winter. On a stunningly beautiful day yesterday, the slopes matched the day. Thank you again.

I'm glad that the cold temperatures have allowed the mountain to recover so quickly from the many rain storms and melting that we have had this year. Its unfortunate that their has been minimal snow and in my opinion this has caused the ski mountains to focus on more and more park skiing as a last resort to bring in more customers. I hope that everyones prayers come true for more snow this season so the ski mountains can do well economically and we can all enjoy some fresh snow that makes for great skiing.

Skied Loon for the first time in 1/12 and loved the changes, if I may suggest, there is a whole crew of people who would come to Loon on a two fer one day if offered, that is one of the reasons I think your wonderful mountain is not more crowded during the week, because of other mountains around you offering the same. Also, think about increasing the military discount they deserve it. Love the changes, hope you hear me .Sincerely, Ed

I am glad that you enjoyed the day as much as we did! Ski Holiday is one of the cherished and celebrated traditions at Cardigan and most of the boys had been waiting for the day all winter. Weather was beautiful, food was delicious, and your staff could not have been more professional or attentive. Thanks for all you did to make our day memorable.

To go along with what Abby wrote, I have to say, I had a great day job-sharing yesterday. From handing out tickets to a mass of teenage boys to working in the rental shop and lastly serving pizza, I never stopped smiling. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for what Group Sales and Rentals do day in and day out and will be more than willing to help anytime Abby, Adam or Meg calls. Job-sharing is a great way to gain appreciation of what our co-workers do everyday. So do yourself a favor, stop down at Food & Beverage and offer help during the busy time or the rental shop. Say hi to the Lift Attendants or stop by the Group Sales office. In the long run, a smile goes a long way.

Until next time,

Hi Janice!

Thanks for your comment regarding our grooming conditions. When it snows, we like to keep a few trails ungroomed for those who like to ski powder. We have recieved over 3 feet of snow just in February and we have had a lot of requests to keep some trails ungroomed. Today we only have 4 trails not groomed. When we feel the need to groom after it has snowed, we will groom. Thank you for your comment. I hope this information was helpful.

Thanks!
