Monster Mud Run: Preview

The Monster Mud Run is coming up this Saturday, and our crews have been hard at work making the course as challenging as possible. Racers will  conquer 16 obstacles in this year’s race, all of which are guaranteed to leave you caked in New Hampshire’s finest muck. Here’s a preview of just a few of those obstacles:

Welding the huge A-frame that will support a cargo net. Get ready.
New Hampshire’s largest, muddiest slip-and-slide, coming to you this Saturday. Racers will be drenched by snowmaking guns in this section, and will crawl through a mud pit at the bottom. Bring a change of clothes.
Try crawling over and under a bunch of logs after running up a ski trail. It’s no cakewalk – unless, of course, you’re walking and eating cake. Which we do not encourage.
Yep, those are porta-showers. When we say ‘Monster Mud Run,’ we don’t joke around.

The weather for Saturday looks perfect, with sunshine and temperatures in the 60s. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still plenty of time to register online. You can also register in person at the race, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. The first heat begins at 11 a.m.

We hope to see you up here this Saturday. If you can’t make the race, remember to swing by the Halloween Monster Bash, featuring The Running Gags. It all starts at 8:30 p.m. in the Bunyan Room, and there’s no cover.

We’ll see you Saturday. Just be sure to bring your sense of adventure, and a change of clothes.
