Dear Seasonal Families,
It’s hard to believe we are down to the last two weekends of the season!! This has gone too fast!! We’ve had such a great winter and it’s been so exciting to see how much all of your children have improved over the months!
Saturday, the Dev Team is hosting the Royce and Eddie Rockin’ Ski-A-Thon. Click for a sign-up form. Royce Whitaker was a student in our seasonal programs, his Dad Roy coaches the Pierce Group on the Dev Team, his sister Sarah is on the Dev Team, and his Mom, Tina coaches in the NEDS Program. Eddie Walsh was a great coach who worked at Loon for many years during the ’70s and ’80s. He brought great skill and humor into his coaching and was a valuable part of the Seasonal Program. We are hoping to raise enough money with this fundraiser to fund at least two kids from Lincoln/Woodstock to be able to participate in our program. Awards for the most runs will given at the end of the day on Saturday….look for the balloons outside the Dev Team Building!! Final contributions and sponsors sheets are due March 24th and can be returned to the Dev Team Building. Thank you!!
A reminder to check out your child’s group and individual photos at www.loon.photoreflect.com !! They have done a great job capturing our programs this season!!
Lastly, our End of the Season Potluck is Saturday, March 23rd in the Governor’s Lodge at 6:00pm. This is for all Seasonal Program participants and their families. Below is the suggested breakdown of what to bring…

The sun provided us with some GREAT weather this past weekend, and we all took full advantage! The snow was soft and our classes had a blast in the spring conditions. We had the Loon Photography crew here this past Sunday, and pictures are available here: www.loon.photoreflect.com
Looking ahead, we’ve got the Dev Team Day this Saturday. I have only have 7 RSVP’s for that, so be sure to send me an email if you’re interested in having your child try that program out. You will drop your skier off in front of the Dev Team building at 8:45 AM on Saturday morning rather than in the Children’s Center. Pick up is at 3:00 at the Dev Team Building as well. The Dev Team building is located next to the Little Sister lift by the tubing area on the Gondola side of the mountain.
We also have our end of the season Ice Cream party coming up on Saturday March 23rd. This will start at 4:30 and last about an hour or so. It will be Potluck style, and the list of what to bring will be on next week’s newsletter. We’ll also have certificate awards for all our participants!
The last day of our program, March 24th , will be the Cardboard Box Race. Please bring in any and all large cardboard boxes you may have lying around at home!!
See you this weekend,

What a great weekend we had!! The weather was just beautiful!! Hoping this weekend is the same. Coaches will be passing out end of the season evaluations this weekend, so make sure you see your child’s coach. We are also have the Dev Team “Visit” day on Saturday, so we will have some new faces around from the Scouts Program and several families who are interested in our programs.
Don’t forget to join us Saturday afternoon at 2:30 in our dining room for our planning meeting for next season. We value your feedback and suggestions!!
The last day of our program, March 24th , will be the Cardboard Box Race. Please connect with your child’s coach to see if their group will be participating. Often coaches need parents help to pull off a successful box race experience!!!
