After patiently sweating out the interminable months of spring, summer, and fall, our snowmakers finally got the go-ahead to do their thing last week.
Our crackerjack snowmaking team (that’s right, we’re bringing back the adjective ‘crackerjack’) took advantage of a strong cold front to make a whole bunch of snow on upper mountain trails like Exodus, Bear Claw Extension, Upper Picked Rock, Upper Bear Claw, Upper Flying Fox, and Crosscut. By Saturday morning, plunging temps allowed them to crank the guns on Seven Brothers all the way down to the base.
After this week’s milder weather departs (we’re expecting a major pattern change later this weekend) we’ll start making snow once again. Right now, our projected opening date is Wednesday, Nov. 23. If Mother Nature plays nice, we’ll all be making some pre-Turkey Day turns. Stay tuned.
