February Vacation

Vacation week is here! School, work, life – we all deserve a week to kick back, relax and of course shred the ‘gnar. This past week, Loon has received 18″ of new snow, which has let us drop ropes on glades from peak to peak as well as our natural terrain.

If skiing and riding isn’t the way you like to enjoy winter, no worries – Loon has plenty of options for everyone. Here are some suggestions on how to explore the slopes this week.

Lil’ Tweakers and Plankers

Kick of vacation week in style with these two comps for snowboarders and skiers 14 and under. Snowboarders will take to Little Sister on Feb. 15 and skiers on Feb. 16. Registration is free, a valid lift ticket or season pass is required.

Kid’s Night Out

Ditch the parents at home. Explore the Adventure Center, scaling the climbing wall, ice skating and ziplining and enjoy pizza for dinner.

Fluorescent Nights

Take hot laps to a whole new level through the Little Sister and Burton Progression Parks from Feb. 19-21. Jib and jump under the lights from 6 to 9 p.m.

Camp III Snowshoe & S’mores

Once the lifts stop, the fun begins. Take the Seven Brothers Triple up before hiking to to Camp III. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, hot chocolate and of course s’mores before hiking down Brookway.

Light Skiing

The mountain becomes a different place at night – just ask any snowmaker or groomer. With Light Skiing, you’ll get to experience it firsthand. You and up to 5 friends will spend an evening lapping freshly-groomed trails, with nothing but high-powered LED headlamps lighting the way. You’ll make turns alongside two Loon guides, pausing along the way to admire the alpine twilight, watch the stars come to life, and revel in the beauty of the mountain after dark.
