March Madness

March is a big month here at Loon. Not only does it mean spring snowstorms and the beginning of spring skiing, but it is by far one of the best months for events. With all there is to do, we wanted to give you a rundown on what lies ahead.

First Class Beginner’s Weekend

Looking to pick up a new sport? Our First Class weekend will teach you the skills and give you the gear to exceed on the slopes. You’ll receive private coaching all weekend long as well as a free pair of Head skis or a Burton snowboard.

Light Skiing

The mountain becomes a different place at night – just ask any snowmaker or groomer. With Light Skiing, you’ll get to experience it firsthand. You and up to 5 friends will spend an evening lapping freshly-groomed trails, with nothing but high-powered LED headlamps lighting the way. You’ll make turns alongside two Loon guides, pausing along the way to admire the alpine twilight, watch the stars come to life, and revel in the beauty of the mountain after dark.

Red Bull Slide-In Tour

Love Loon Terrain Parks? On March 12 Red Bull athletes, Zeb Powell, Jessie Augustin, Benny Milam, Sean Neary and Miles Fallon will be around all day to check out the parks and take some laps. Be sure to head to the Bunyan Room for apres.

Beyond the Boundaries

The Beyond the Boundaries returns to it’s home location for another weekend of progressive park riding run by women, for women. Over the course of the two-day program, participants will learn new tricks in a private, custom-built terrain park and test themselves in the ultimate proving ground: Loon’s award-winning progression of terrain parks.

Cardboard Box Derby

As the saying goes, most kids prefer the cardboard box than the toy. Take that box to the snow to celebrate the start of spring. Decorate the box however you’d like and glide down the mountain.

Last Call

For all advanced and pro snowboarders – this one is for you. In it’s 20th year, celebrate East Coast snowboarding and ride some of the gnarliest features our terrain parks team can think of.
